Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor who specializes in floor care to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment within our facilities. This role involves various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the premises.

1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces in all designated areas.

2. Waste Management: Empty and dispose of trash receptacles, ensuring proper waste segregation and disposal procedures are followed.

3. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures. Restock restroom supplies as needed.

4. Floor Care: Maintain and care for different types of flooring, including carpet,

tile, and hardwood, through regular cleaning and maintenance activities in commercial and residential buildings.

5. Window Cleaning: Clean windows and glass surfaces as scheduled or as needed, including mirrors.

6. Maintenance Tasks: Report minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing minor fixtures, and reporting any major repair needs to the appropriate supervisor.

7. Stock and Inventory: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and materials as necessary, keeping an organized inventory.

8. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all cleaning activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and policies.

9. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet cleaning, carpet extraction, and pressure washers.

10. Security: Report any security or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

2. Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is a plus.

3. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and safety protocols.

4. Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.

5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

6. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 30lbs and move heavy objects.

7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

8. Punctuality and reliability.

· The Janitorial role may require working in various weather conditions.

· Some tasks may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals.

· Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
