Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Candidate Evaluation
- Develop and execute tailored recruitment strategies to meet MAAC’s staffing needs.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand their specific program needs, job requirements, and preferences to ensure alignment in recruitment efforts.
- Evaluate applicants beyond technical requirements, assessing experience holistically to identify potential talent.
- Ensure hiring managers receive well-vetted candidates aligned with both job requirements and organizational culture.
- Utilize diverse sourcing methods, including partnerships with universities, community organizations, and industry networks.
- Establish a transparent, responsive, and supportive recruitment process.
- Ensure all candidates receive timely updates, including acknowledgment of applications, interview scheduling, and final decisions.
- Create clear, constructive rejection communications to provide closure and maintain a positive perception of MAAC.
- Develop user-friendly application processes that encourage engagement and accessibility.
- Implement best practices in recruitment, ensuring compliance with employment laws and ethical hiring standards.
- Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to streamline hiring workflows and enhance candidate tracking.
- Analyze key hiring metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, retention rates) to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
- Generate reports on new hires, terminations, transfers, and other employment transactions.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align workforce planning with organizational goals.
- Provide training and technical support to staff on the use of the ATS and recruitment processes to ensure best practices are followed.
- Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring that all recruitment activities are compliant and ethically conducted.
- Draft employment offers, monitor background screening processes, and communicate with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Work with managers to ensure a welcoming experience for new employees.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Human Resources Management or a closely related field AND 4 years of successful experience in a comparable position; OR a combination of training and experience that will likely result in the successful performance of the core duties of the position.

HEALTH STATUS
Must have a physical examination, TB clearance and a drug screen by a doctor/clinic designated by MAAC as well as immunization records for influenza*, pertussis and measles as required by state and federal regulations prior to the first day of employment.

Physical Demands

BACKGROUND CLEARANCE
All positions are subject to a background/education check, DMV check, NSOR, exclusion and debarment checks prior to hire and periodically throughout employment as required by various funding sources.
Note: California Start law requires background criminal checks on anyone who works in a licensed childcare facility who is not a client. Must have or obtain a current criminal background check clearance, signed criminal record statement, and signed Acknowledgement to Report Child Abuse form prior to the first day of employment.
TRANSPORTATION
Must have and maintain a valid California Driver’s License, daily use of a personal, insured vehicle, and have and maintain a motor vehicle driving record acceptable to MAAC’s insurance carrier. Incumbents will be enrolled in the California DMV Pull Program.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
