In this role, as an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business, building relationships with potential clients, and promoting our comprehensive range of auto body and paint services. You’ll work independently, managing your accounts within your territory and developing strategies to achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities (What you will do)
- Drive Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market. Utilize your sales skills to promote our services and products, upselling when appropriate and maximizing revenue opportunities. Conduct presentations to potential clients. Track sales activities and prepare reports on performance and market trends.
- Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, local fleet accounts, automotive dealerships, and insurance agents.
- Promote The Shop: Attend networking events and trade shows to promote Maaco services.
- Offer Exceptional Service: Collaborate with the shop team to ensure customer needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Qualifications (What we are looking for)
- Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales, preferably in the automotive industry or a related field.
- Passion for Cars: A genuine passion for automobiles and a desire to help customers find solutions to their vehicle repair needs.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively convey information to customers.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to think quickly on your feet, adapt to changing situations, and find creative solutions to challenges as they arise.
- Team Player Mentality: A collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with our repair team and other staff members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Previous experience as an Automotive Paint and Collision Sales is preferred
- Excellent written communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
