Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on damaged vehicles, including bodywork, frame straightening, and panel replacement.
- Utilize sheet metal fabrication techniques to create or repair parts as needed.
- Conduct auto estimating to assess damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Use power tools and equipment safely and effectively for various repair tasks.
- Execute airless paint spraying for finishing touches on repaired surfaces.
- Apply welding skills for structural repairs and reinforcement of vehicle components.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
- Proficient in using power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint sprayers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
