What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Technician position at Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting?
The Body man position is a critical position in our production shop. The tech should be comfortable with multiple repairs at once and have a high turnover rate.
- Adhering to all health regulations and utilize all safety equipment.
- Adhering to all safety rules in dealing with hazardous materials.
- Maintaining his/her workstation in a clean and efficiently organized manner.
- Functioning as a member of the MAACO team and assisting other Paint Line Technicians in the completion of their procedures when needed to keep the line moving.
- Perform masking to protect adjacent panels from overspray.
- Must review the repair order for each vehicle prior to beginning any work on the vehicle
- Maintain all tools and equipment, including maintenance of paint booth and booth filters
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel or crouch in providing a properly prepared vehicle for painting
- Body man needs to be able to perform multiple jobs at the same time and produce a finished product in a timely manner.
