Overview
Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting in Gulfport is looking for an experienced Painter with at least 5 years of experience. Candidate must be able to work at production shop pace and be able to demonstrate concern for quality. Experience in single stage and base coat/clear coat finishes is preferred. Dependability and ability to adapt are necessary for the right candidate. Position is full-time and paid hourly. References are required.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed.
- Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and buffing to achieve a smooth finish.
- Perform auto restoration tasks, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to assess project requirements and timelines.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist in minor repairs or adjustments as necessary during the painting process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto painting, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred; familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform buffing and airless paint spraying techniques proficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation of vehicles as needed.
