Hours: Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Position Description
Maas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a Civil Engineer with a professional engineering license in California to join our team. The work will include a mix of reviewing external drawings and producing internal civil designs. The civil elements of typical projects include underground manure piping design, grading, concrete, and other civil elements. In this role, the Civil Engineer will collaborate closely with our existing project engineering team to develop and refine civil designs for our biogas renewable energy projects. This entails creating innovative solutions and ensuring that our designs meet both company standards and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, the Civil Engineer will liaise with external engineering teams, providing guidance and oversight to ensure the successful integration of their work with our projects.
Responsibilities
Review and approve outside civil engineering work to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Produce detailed civil engineering designs for covered lagoons and other types of digesters.
Design underground manure piping systems, grading plans, concrete structures, and other civil engineering components.
Collaborate with project management, construction management, finance, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution.
Perform risk assessments and manage cost and time constraints.
Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
Manage cost and time constraints.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in CA required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering or related fields, preferably in the biogas or renewable energy sector
Proficiency in civil engineering software especially AutoDesk (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and NFPA.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
