Position Title: Director Of California Field Operations
Department: Operations
Reports to: CEO/COO
Compensation: Salary range $100,000 - $165,000; Commensurate to Skills and Experience.
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm; 40 hours per week. Includes some on-call hours during evenings and weekends. Travel expected; an average of 3 trips per month, mostly day trips with some overnights, and multi-night trips perhaps once every month.

Position Description Maas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a Director of California Field Operations to lead a team of Facility Managers, supervisors and field technicians. This leadership role involves ensuring the efficient performance of biogas cleanup facilities, metering stations, and biogas gathering networks. The Director will supervise and develop regional managers, support field operations, and drive strategic improvements in operational processes.
Responsibilities
Oversee and support the operations of renewable biomethane gas projects across California.
Supervise and mentor managers of Operations and Field staff.
Travel within the central valley from Wasco to Galt to oversee operations.
Ensure compliance with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and address operational issues.
Facilitate communication and coordination between office and field teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and maintain strong relationships with partners.
Analyze operational data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Support the procurement of parts and materials as needed by the Operations team.
Collaborate with other departments to align operational activities with company goals.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven leadership experience in operations management, preferably in the renewable energy or natural gas sector.
Ability to lead, coordinate and execute with the different teams in the field.
Capacity to become a representative of MEW culture and values between field operations and the Redding Office.
Ability to develop relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
Strong understanding of natural gas systems and gas clean up facilities.
Strong RNG experience.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to travel and visit different projects across the California Valley.
Proficiency in Excel, data management, trend analysis, and report generation.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Management, Operations or Engineering experience/education are valuable.
Must possess a valid US driver's license.
Must be proficient in English.

Physical Demand Requirements
Work Environment This job mainly operates in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, etc. Noise level may be loud at times and works around moving mechanical or construction equipment.
Physical Demands Must be able to move objects of at least 50 lbs., and use leg, abdominal, and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Travel is required. This would require the ability to walk up and down stairs, and to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.
