What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at MAAX Bath Inc.?
Position Summary
The production worker works an average of 10 hours per day, manufacturing bathtubs, bath walls and or whirlpools depending on what department you are assigned to. This is an entry level position with opportunity for advancement.
Essential Functions:
Employee must:
- be able to endure constant standing and walking, with minimal bending or stooping for an 8 to
10 hour shift.
- Be able to work comfortably in hot/humid temperatures and hydrate consistently
- be able to coordinate use of hands at assembly line pace
- be able to distinguish between colors and minute shading of colors
- be able to distinguish between different models of bath units
- have good reading and math skills
- be able to read a tape measure and make precise, consistent measurements
- know the proper operating functions of whirlpools and how to repair them
- must have good vision to accurately judge material positioning
- occasionally manipulate units weighing up to 200 pounds, team lift when required
This job requires light physical work and demands a constant work pace with the ability to coordinate daily sheets with load sheets. You must be able to stand continually while walking occasionally
