We are currently looking to add a Manufacturing Plant Manager to our team in Plymouth, IN. This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production scheduling, inventory management, and workflow coordination within a bathtub manufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient resource utilization, minimizes downtime, and meets production targets while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing efficiency and resource utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure continuous production flow.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align production with material availability.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure product standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
- Lead cross-functional teams to stream-line processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, labor laws, and industry standards.
- Manage ERP or MRP systems to enhance production planning and reporting.
- Train and mentor production planning staff to build a high-performing team.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access for data analysis.
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to travel to other facilities (up to 20%).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking within a manufacturing environment.
