About the Role:
We are seeking an Community Living Specialist (CLS) to provide compassionate care and support to our individuals. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. You will also provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to improve their overall quality of life. As an CLS you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients.
Location: Two Individuals Located in Uxbridge and Worcester
Schedule: Monday - Friday Flexible with occasional weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities/acquired brain injury.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Experience with meal planning and preparation
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior
- Maintain accurate records of client care and progress
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
Skills:
As a Community Living Specialist you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and their families. You will also use your organizational and time management skills to ensure that clients receive the care and support they need in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in providing high-quality care to our clients. Your experience working with elderly or disabled individuals, as well as your certification in CPR and First Aid, will be valuable assets in this role. Finally, your fluency in a second language will be beneficial in communicating with clients who may have limited English proficiency.
