Script Writer (Remote)

Role Description:

Mabaya Group is looking for a creative and skilled Script Writer to craft compelling narratives for various media platforms, including film, television, podcasts, and digital content. The ideal candidate must be adept at storytelling, dialogue writing, and character development.

This is a remote contract role, but candidates must be based in Manhattan, New York, and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and refine scripts for video, film, TV, podcasts, or digital platforms.
• Develop engaging storylines, characters, and dialogue while ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and content teams to create high-quality scripts.
• Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and relevant topics to enhance script authenticity.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality writing standards.
• Adapt scripts for different media formats and audiences as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years of professional scriptwriting experience.
• Strong storytelling skills with expertise in dialogue, pacing, and narrative structure.
• Ability to write for different tones, formats, and audiences.
• Excellent research skills to ensure script authenticity.
• Candidates must be based in Manhattan, New York, and eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in screenwriting, TV writing, or podcast scripting.
• Familiarity with script formatting tools (Final Draft, Celtx, or similar software).
• Ability to collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams.
• Knowledge of SEO and digital content strategy for online media scripts.

Compensation & Job Type:

• Freelance, Contract (Paid) – Compensation based on experience and project scope.
• Estimated Pay Range: $30 – $80 per hour, depending on expertise.
• Remote – Candidates must be based in Manhattan, New York, and eligible to work in the U.S.
