Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, enabling them to efficiently assist customers in need of roadside assistance. This role requires the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models, and to perform basic automotive diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles.
- Load and unload vehicles using proper techniques to prevent damage.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure safe operation.
- Provide excellent customer service while assisting stranded motorists.
- Diagnose minor mechanical issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist in training new drivers on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tow Truck Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
- Familiarity with flatbed towing equipment and techniques.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with towing operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Forklift operation experience is an advantage but not required.
