Job Overview
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of our data center's infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all network systems are operating efficiently to support our organization's IT operations.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and cabling within the data center
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on network infrastructure components
- Collaborate with service technicians to address network issues promptly
- Perform testing using tools such as Ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of cables
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of VoIP systems
- Monitor and respond to alerts regarding network performance and security
- Support IT teams with computer hardware installations and maintenance
Requirements
- Proficiency in network installation, including Cat6 cabling and Avaya systems
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and cabling standards
- Experience working with IT infrastructure in a data center environment
- Familiarity with VoIP technologies and their implementation
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like Ohmmeters for troubleshooting purposes
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $37.76 - $40.14 per hour
