Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Wiring Material Logistics Coordinator to oversee inventory management, process improvement, and material flow for wiring operations. This position involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure materials, tools, and documentation are available and delivered on time to support production schedules. The ideal candidate will excel in planning, communication, and driving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the organization, tracking, and replenishment of wiring materials and components.
- Work with the stockroom to ensure timely picking and staging of materials for scheduled jobs.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Production Coordination:
- Collaborate with the production coordinator to update and maintain production schedules.
- Ensure job schedules align with material availability and adjust plans as necessary to avoid delays.
- Subcontractor Management:
- Coordinate with subcontractors to provide them with necessary materials, tools, and documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor progress and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve material flow and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize kitting, staging, and scheduling processes.
- Documentation Management:
- Ensure accurate records of material transactions, job progress, and subcontractor interactions.
- Communicate effectively with production and stockroom teams to address any discrepancies.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all materials and processes comply with company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or material handling within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with subcontractors or external vendors is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems or inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
