What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Inventory position at Mac Papers and Packaging,?
The Inventory Manager is responsible to oversee and manage MPEC inventory levels for our MAC branches, national accounts and other critical clients / business partners. This role will involve ensuring efficient tracking of stock, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring that our products are accurately accounted for across various stages of production. The role with work in partnership with our production scheduling, operations and commercial teams.

Essential Position Functions :
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to maintain appropriate inventory flow.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, stock movement patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain inventory reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
- Work with suppliers, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory to optimize space and efficiency.
- Address any discrepancies or issues with inventory and collaborate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Supervise and train inventory staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on inventory-related matters.
- Ensure that inventory practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Implement measures to safeguard inventory from theft, damage, or loss.
- Maintain and update the inventory management system to reflect accurate inventory counts and product data.
- Utilize software tools and technology to streamline inventory processes and track performance.
- Other duties as required.
