What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Regional Sales East position at Mac Papers and Packaging,?
The Regional Sales Manager’s responsibilities include traveling to client locations to consult and create solutions, guidance, and advice for the sale of envelopes. Regional Sales Managers must work to find new sales leads, through business directories, client referrals, etc. Continually building relationships with internal and external contacts and develop ongoing relations with the sale and management team and our manufacturer partners. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)
Essential Position Functions:
- Develop and execute territory business plan for growing the envelope line of business (LOB) in all the markets covered by this position.
- Schedule and manage time and coverage of the markets in an efficiently planned and effective manner.
- Identify and develop prospective customers through marketing and prospecting new opportunities.
- Work with sales support specialist in consulting with their current customers to develop additional sales opportunities.
- Identify customer needs and successfully recommend value added solutions that will improve processes and profitability.
- Submit documentation to credit for approval to quote a customer with terms as needed.
- Present proposals and provide samples and/or demonstrations as needed for selling opportunities.
- Track all prospects and opportunities and submit to management from discovery through the close using tools/CRM as required (Monday.com)
- Participate in product and sales training and all branch sales meetings.
- Develop customer and Mac Papers Packaging business relationships.
- Track, post, and submit expenses using the tools provided.
- Position requires approximately 30% travel to business sites within designated region.
- Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives.
- Experience in envelope or paper sales preferred.
- B2B consultative sales experience with successful track record of sales and territory growth.
- 2-4 years of experience in selling to businesses
- Strong interpersonal skills, time management experience and a self-starter.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive, self-confident and growth oriented.
- Ability to effectively utilize order entry systems and respond to emails.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
- Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
