What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager/Class B Driver position at Mac Papers and Packaging?
The Warehouse Manager/Class B Driver is responsible for managing the branch warehouse and delivery operations, including collaborative working relationships with the sales team, customer service and headquarters, to maximize resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, and economic goals. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

- Act as the primary on site manager and keeps Operations management promptly and fully informed of any issues or concerns.
- Complete daily routing of customer deliveries.
- Monitor the quality, quantity, and efficiency of the movement and storage of product.
- Manage branch inventory, inventory cycle counts and maintain warehouse appearance.
- Ensure proper maintenance and security of building, grounds, and all Mac Papers assets for the facility.
- Ensure branch operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
- Responsible for adherence to all standards of Corporate Safety program.
- Management of fleet/equipment repairs, and preventative and routine maintenance to ensure compliance with transportation related regulations (OSHA, DOT) and adherence to company standards and policies
- Plans and organizes all daily activities of branch warehouse and delivery activities to ensure standards of performance are maintained.
- Interface daily with internal and external customers.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with sales, customer service and headquarters personnel.
- Other duties as required.
- Loading and unloading of product for up to 20 stops a day.
- Securing product for transport.
- Regular use of forklift to receive/load/move pallets/product.
- Unloading product at delivery area using a hand truck or pallet jack.
- Obtaining receipts/payment and signatures for delivered product.
- Responsible for adhering to all federal and state DOT regulations.
- Responsible for reporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as accidents and traffic violations.
- Move items from receiving or warehouse locations to shipping or other designated areas.
- Stage pallets for loading at proper dock locations.
- Read and understand work orders as well as verbal instruction for assignment.
- Select merchandise for shipment and stack on load pallets using an order selector or forklift.
- Follow Mac Papers preferred work methods at all times.
- Daily inspections of warehouse equipment.
- Follow all safety policies and protocols as directed by company.
- Perform general cleaning/maintenance duties.
Education And/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- Class B driver license required.
- 5 years’ operational, logistics and/or distribution experience (minimum 3 years at supervisory or management level).
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Ability to handle stress related to demands of internal and external customers.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
- Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
