What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Class B and Warehouse position at Mac Papers?
Class B CDL Driver / Warehouse is responsible for transporting different types of goods from branch facilities to customer locations using a commercial straight truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip, and unload cased and uncased products from the trailer to customer facilities. These drivers also must follow appropriate safety procedures to transport cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours. This unique position will also require supporting the shipping and receiving of product in the warehouse and routing vehicles for daily deliveries ( This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)
Essential Position Functions :
- Loading and unloading of product for up to 20 stops a day.
- Securing product for transport.
- Unloading product at delivery area using a hand truck or pallet jack.
- Obtaining receipts / payment and signatures for delivered product.
- Responsible for adhering to all federal and state DOT regulations.
- Responsible for reporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as accidents and traffic violations.
- Required to work up to 50% of work week inside warehouse.
- Responsible for routing vehicles for daily deliveries when necessary.
- Move items from receiving or warehouse locations to shipping or other designated areas.
- Stage pallets for loading at proper dock locations.
- Read and understand work orders as well as verbal instruction for assignment.
- Select merchandise for shipment and stack on load pallets using an order selector or forklift.
- Follow Mac Papers preferred work methods at all times.
- Daily inspections of warehouse equipment.
- Follow all safety policies and protocols as directed by company.
- Perform general cleaning / maintenance duties.
- Other duties as required.
