This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounts receivable processes, vendor communication, and account reconciliation. Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Entry: Accurately input invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner to ensure proper recordkeeping and payment processing.
- Vendor Statement Review: Analyze vendor statements to identify discrepancies, such as unpaid invoices or overpayments, and assist in reconciling outstanding balances.
- Post Move-Out Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile tenant accounts after move-out, ensuring all charges and credits are accurately applied.
- Collection Agency Communication: Coordinate with third-party collection agencies to follow up on post move-out accounts, provide documentation, and respond to inquiries.
- City Inspection Data Entry: Enter and manage inspection data required for city-mandated property inspections, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in accounting or property management is a plus but not required.
- Hands-on experience in real-world accounting and accounts receivable functions.
- Exposure to vendor management, collections, and city compliance processes.
