Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington seeks a skilled Development Coordinator, Corporate Giving, who shares our vision of helping Girl Scouts change the world.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy for corporate donors. You'll work closely with the Director of Development to achieve annual revenue goals, find the best ways to engage current and prospective corporate donors and create strategies for corporate donor engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a strategic portfolio of corporate donors and prospects and engage in regular outreach.
  • Work closely with GSOSW Staff and the Board of Directors to appropriately leverage their contacts and involvement to engage individual and corporate donors and prospects.
  • Leverage the Moves Management process to deploy appropriate cultivation and stewardship tools to increase donor engagement and giving.
  • Assist with cultivation and stewardship events and coordinate details to ensure they run smoothly.
  • Ensure all corporate donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and giving activities and information are captured accurately and in the RE system.
  • With the Fund Development Team, create and implement a robust and comprehensive cultivation and stewardship activities toolbox.
  • Coordinate with the grant writing team on the development and writing of corporate proposals and solicitation materials.
  • Coordinate efforts with other GSOSW Departments to inform and engage corporate donors through events, communication pieces, and donor networking opportunities.
  • Promote community awareness of GSOSW and its programs.
  • Represent GSOSW at meetings and functions in a professional manner consistent with Girl Scouts' image and mission.

  • At least seven (7) total years of relevant education and experience, including : At least two (2) years of experience in fund- and / or friend-raising, including cultivating community partnerships.
  • Skill and willingness to solicit donations, sponsorships, and advertising.
  • Relationship-building and management skills.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with volunteer committees.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with online fundraising platforms.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips. Travel will constitute 20-30% of work time.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Computer proficiency at an intermediate level in Microsoft 365 applications, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, project management applications, and ease of learning new programs.

  • The Details

  • Compensation - Nonexempt / hourly, starting at $25.24 to $30.29 per hour ($52,500 to $63,000 annually) depending on qualifications. Plus, $1.25 per hour for Spanish language skills at a conversational level or higher.

  • Hours - Full-time, business hours, with some flexibility. Occasional event attendance, including weekends and evenings.
  • Location - Regular job duties can be performed remotely if you meet internet connectivity standards, in any of our Service Centers throughout Oregon, or a hybrid setting, based on your preference. You must live in Oregon or Southwest Washington. This role also requires occasional travel, including overnight and long-distance travel. All staff are required to participate in in-person meetings, events, work assignments, and retreats, the frequency and location of which is determined by business needs.
