Congresswoman Maxine Dexter is seeking a dedicated and organized inidividual to join her team as a Field Representative . The Field Representative serves as the Congresswoman's community liaison, representing her on local issues, engaging with constituents, and building relationships with federal, state and local agencies. This role involves advising the Congresswoman and her team on district priorities, tracking emerging trends, and ensuring effective communication across multiple stakeholders. Work is mainly performed in an office environment, although some work may take place remotely. Full-time benefited position with a starting salary range $65-75K. Additional benefit of student loan repayment. Office location : 911 Federal Building on NE 11th Ave, Portland OR.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement outreach plans aligned with the Congresswoman's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with legislative staff to ensure district priorities inform legislative efforts.
- Monitor local news and community developments, providing regular updates to the team.
- Serve as a liaison to stakeholders at all levels of government.
- Prepare written materials (briefings, speeches, talking points).
- Represent the Congresswoman at meetings and events when necessary.
- Serve as the primary contact for constituents on issues which may include education, workforce development, labor, economic, and small business.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional long hours including nights and weekends.
