GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position works in cooperation with and under the supervision of a licensed School Psychologist in completing university program requirements including conduct cognitive, behavioral, and academic assessments for students, birth through 21 and assisting teachers and parents in understanding the educational needs of referred students. This position's responsibilities are coordinated to provide multiple learning experiences for school psychologist interns. Interns will practice in the role of a school psychologist through assessing and observing students. They will develop skills in teaming with an evaluation IEP team and will assist in report writing. They will have a full range of experiences from preschool through high school level.
QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
- Enrolled in an accredited Master’s degree or higher school psychologist program.
- Enrolled in an internship class with a University Program Advisor.
- Demonstrated successful course completion in cognitive, behavioral, and academic testing and related skills.
