As our Learning & Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving employee and leader performance through innovative and impactful learning initiatives. Leveraging your skills in needs assessment, content development, program management, and collaboration, you will design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective learning solutions. From developing training materials to managing learning and performance systems, you will shape the way our employees learn, grow, and succeed.

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT : This is a 6-month temporary assignment with a possibility for extension depending on business needs. The role is full-time and benefits eligible. You'll be working on-site in a hybrid work environment, with in-office days from Tuesday to Thursday and the option to work from home on Monday and Friday. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends may be required based on business needs.

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and adept project manager who thrives on designing compelling, people-centric employee development experiences. They will have a passion for lifelong learning, an interest in simplifying the complex, and a talent for inspiring and engaging learners at all levels. If you are detail-oriented, driven by process improvement, and skilled in both digital learning design and live facilitation, you will be an ideal match.

DAY-TO-DAY :

  • Responsible for learning and development content creation and maintenance (videos, elearning modules, live training materials, one-pagers, how-to guides, etc.) including development of new program materials; collaboration with subject-matter experts and external content providers as needed; project management; and ongoing maintenance of existing content.
  • Manage and maintain administration of learning management and performance systems, including but not limited to maintaining user records, groups, roles, and permissions (in collaboration with our People Technology team); managing course set up and enrollments; preparing reports as requested by P&C and business leaders; tracking and ensuring training compliance; troubleshooting user questions and issues.
  • Coordinate learning and development events, including but not limited to scheduling, communication, employee sign up and attendance management and support, facilitator support and coordination, supply and material preparation and set up, venue and food / beverage coordination.
  • Collaborate with Director, P&C Design to lead facilitation of internal leadership and employee development programming, including performing facilitations, preparing members of P&C and other internal SMEs to provide effective training, and securing external facilitators when needed.
  • Collaborate with Cultural Engagement Specialist on learning program evaluation and assessment including survey administration, focus group coordination, feedback collection and analysis.
  • Establish comprehensive documentation and project management processes for execution of all learning & development programs including compliance trainings, professional development, and leadership programs.
  • Perform review, analysis, selection, and curation of external learning content, programs, and facilitators as needed for organization-wide and department-specific initiatives.
  • Support department-related training initiatives including needs assessment and consultation, sharing learning and development best practices, sourcing programs and facilitators for function-specific training content, sharing adult learning methodologies, advising on and reviewing materials.
  • Manage relationships with external learning content vendors and designers.
  • Develop and manage L&D programs with DEI principles, ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and promote a sense of belonging amongst employees.

WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE :

  • 4 years of experience in learning and development, including at least 3 years focused on content creation, LMS administration, and coordinating live learning events.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a meticulous approach to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent project management and process optimization skills.
  • A deep understanding of adult learning and design principles, including instructional design, written and multi-modal communications (e.g., eLearning, video, in-person facilitation, etc.).
  • Proficiency with key tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate Rise 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of employees at all levels.
  • Audience- and user-focused approach to create exceptional employee development experiences.
  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices and a commitment to developing diverse and inclusive employee experiences.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
