The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for arranging and organizing outbound shipments, scheduling inbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment. This position will also provide backup support to the Warehouse Operations Manager as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling trucks for delivery runs for MacArthur drivers
- Receiving delivery paperwork and printing PO for the warehouse
- Reviewing all open orders daily
- Confirm BOL pickups and assist drivers as needed
- Contacting customers to schedule truck deliveries
- Manage freight quotes for customers, the sales team, and other branches
- Maintaining receipts for Mac driver's fuel use
- Documenting and reporting any received damaged product
- Manage and edit driver e-logs
- Facilitate deliveries received or sent with all departments
- Responsible for invoicing orders to customers
- Handles warehouse returns and customer credits
- Manages all daily mail and delivers to each department
- Files all customer paperwork
- Maintains inventory in the storage room
- Organizing common areas, cleaning and restocking items as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, dispatch, and/or warehouse environments
- Knowledge of general building products (preferred)
- A high level of customer service, team-oriented focus, and communication
- Attention to detail, with better-than-average accuracy and careful attention towards quality work
