Looking for an energetic Seasoned Bartender, to work at Macatawa Bay Yacht Club; the best view on Lake Macatawa, just across from the channel to Lake Michigan. MBYC offers sailing, power boating, food, the pool, and the 5-star view of the water. Our club strives to offer the best possible experience to all our members and guests. There are four dining options available: formal dining room, casual bar setting, outdoor patio and Banquet/Events
MBYC is one of the most active Sailing Clubs in the Country with Members participating in multiple classes of sailing boats as well as the Club hosting at least two major National events every year.
Closed: January, February and ½ March
Memorial Day through Labor Day
Limited Hours October, November and December
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members
- Take members orders and provide recommendations on drink selection
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Process payments accurately
- Engage with members in a friendly and professional manner
- Monitor Member behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Restock bar supplies and inventory as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for banquet or catering events
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred
- Knowledge of brewing techniques, cocktail recipes, and drink mixing methods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with a diverse clientele
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food industry
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
