Who are we looking for?
This position is responsible for operating production equipment to manufacture chemical batches, handling hazardous waste according to written procedures, and maintaining required log sheets.
What will you be doing?
- Operate equipment, including tanks, pumps, mixers, pH meters, level meters, flow meters, valves, and hoses to manufacture batches of chemical products.
- Measures quantities of liquid and solid chemicals using scales and flow meters, and transfer the chemicals into tanks.
- Locate materials in the warehouse and transport to manufacturing using a forklift.
- Collect process samples and interface with laboratory personnel for analysis.
- Maintain required log sheets including but limited to batch tickets, packaging sheets, scrubber operation log, pH meter calibration, and equipment inspections.
- Package, mark, and label hazardous waste containers.
- Adheres to all corporate, plant and safety policies/procedures.
- Operate a forklift as applicable.
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Other duties as assigned.
Who are You?
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with chemicals and/or a manufacturing environment
