Macdonald & Company has been exclusively retained to recruit an Associate, Asset Manager for a fast-growing real estate investment firm specializing in Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) assets. As the firm expands its West Coast presence, this hire will be the first Asset Management professional dedicated to the region, offering a unique opportunity to help shape the platform’s strategy and execution.
About the Role:
Based in Sherman Oaks/West Hollywood, the Associate, Asset Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the performance of the firm's West Coast assets. This position provides hands-on exposure to a dynamic investment platform and direct collaboration with senior leadership as the company scales its regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first Asset Management hire on the West Coast, helping to establish regional oversight.
- Execute strategic business plans to drive portfolio performance and value creation.
- Monitor asset performance, analyze leasing trends, and assess market opportunities.
- Support debt financing efforts, including lender negotiations and due diligence.
- Prepare financial reports and investment memos for senior executives and investors.
- Evaluate new tenant opportunities and lease structuring to maximize value.
- Collaborate with Asset and Property Management teams on budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced certifications (MSRE, CFA, etc.) are a plus.
- 3 years of experience in asset management, acquisitions, or portfolio oversight.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel and ARGUS Enterprise.
- Understanding of industrial real estate fundamentals and market dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
