We are seeking a legal assistant for our immigration practice!
Responsibilities include:
- Provides confidential administrative support to attorneys and paralegals including but not limited to composing or preparing documents and in/out correspondence
- Proofreading and drafting of legal documents
- Handles client electronic files from creation to archiving
- Maintains case load and data with a high degree of accuracy on multiple databases
- Assists paralegals with immigration petitions and applications for filing
- Communicates with attorneys and clients regarding case status
- Interacts with outside entities, such as government agencies to gather information or data
- Handles, records, and transmits a high volume of correspondence
- Assists with Potential New Clients (PNC) intakes
- Closes files per attorney requests and archiving policy in Firm software
- Performs various administrative tasks as required (reception back-up per rotation schedule)
Experience/Education:
- Minimum of two years legal assistant experience and/or office experience.
- Bilingual preferred: Russian, Spanish, other

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 Depending on Experience
