Job Description
WellView is a popular software used in the oil and gas industry for managing well data and performing analysis. As a Data Entry Tech in WellView, your role involves inputting, managing, and interpreting data related to oil and gas wells and ensuring accurate records for both new and historical well records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry:
- Enter well-specific data such as wellbore information, drilling and completion data, production data, and other well operations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across the system.
- Update records for ongoing projects and wells, including completion activities, workovers and plugging activity.
- Input various types of data such as drilling surveys, production strings, pressure data, and more.
- Data Management:
- Organize and track well lifecycle data from initial drilling and completion to production.
- Maintain well data integrity by checking for discrepancies or errors in data entry.
- Perform periodic data cleaning and validation tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company data management standards and policies.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work with field reporters, engineers, geologists, and other departments to ensure the proper integration and interpretation of well data.
- Coordinate with other teams in using WellView for well-related data.
Skills:
- Microsoft Office Skills: Excel proficiency with pivot tables, macros, and other advanced Excel functions, as well as Word document creation and editing is preferred.
- Oil & Gas Knowledge: Any experience with drilling, completion, and production operations is helpful.
In this role, you will focus on learning and continually improving both the technical aspects of the oil and gas industry and the specific capabilities of the WellView system.
