Description

This position will require the team member to accurately and efficiently machine parts according to print by choosing the appropriate sequence of operations and executing the best setup to meet blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
Essential Functions:
- Set-up and operate a machine utilizing a variety of lathes including vertical and horizontal.
- Perform daily equipment start up and clean-up of equipment.
- Regular use of manual tools; Dial Calipers, Dial indicators, and OD/ID Mics to verify dimensions.
- Knowledge of fanuc and/or fagor controls.
Requirements
Competencies and Experience Needed:
- 3 – 5 years of machining experience required
- Programming knowledge preferred for CNC Role – training available as well.
- Large turning experience preferred.
- Experience with Monarch, Leblond, and Niles manual lathes is beneficial.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & BOM’s.
- Employee must adhere to company core values.
- Fork-lift experience preferred.
- Overhead crane experience preferred.
- Experience working with alloy steel.
- Detail-oriented, demonstrated a high level of accuracy, and to work safely.

Physical Requirements:
- Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as needed.
- The standard shift is ten hours per day, with steel-toe boots or shoes and safety glasses required.
