Territory Manager Chromatography (Northeast)
We are looking for a Chromatography Sales Representative for our Northeast/Mid-Atlantic territory, ideally based in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. The core territory includes PA, NY, NJ, CT, MA, DE, and MD.
This individual is responsible for selling the company's Chromatography product line. Primary responsibilities include finding, generating and developing new relationships in order to sell the company's products to end-users, and supporting our distributors.
Responsible for new account development and expanding existing accounts. Creates awareness and demand for company products.
Work Environment:
Field based position working remotely from home and visiting customer sites.
Travel Required:
3-5 (average of 4) days per week in the field directly interfacing with prospects and customers.
2-5 overnights per quarter (varies depending upon home base of employee)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Hit sales target for your territory for each fiscal year.
Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on key accounts and sales stimulus activities including planned seminars, product shows, and mailings.
Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing account profiles. Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs.
Master the basic features and benefits of the primary products, and identify opportunities to expand sales within existing accounts.
Responsible for lead qualification, systematic opportunity management, and comprehensive documentation of activity and opportunity status via the company’s CRM platform
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemistry or a related field and 1-2 years of sales experience.
A working knowledge of chromatography and the biopharmaceutical industry.
Working knowledge of contact management, internet, and email, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
Ability to work remotely and independently with minimal direct supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel domestically, by both auto and air.
Ability to speak clearly over the telephone so that others can understand.
Ability to visit and move around at customer sites.
Base Salary Range: $70K -- $85K, plus a quarterly commission plan. Full benefits including health insurance benefits and a SIMPLE IRA plan with company match.
