Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Manual Mill Machinist located in Anoka, MN. As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for confidently operating an Acu-Rite Mill Power on 3-Axis Acer Vertical Milling Machine and a Willis Large Vertical Mill to produce precision parts according to specifications. Your day-to-day tasks will include setting up machines, selecting the appropriate tools, monitoring the machining process, and inspecting finished products to ensure quality. The right applicant will be ready and willing to cross-train on other manufacturing equipment such as a Pro-Takang Manual Lathe .
Qualifications
- A mill machinist who can operate & run manual mills, size parts with end mills/ shell mills, use revolving lathe tools, and drill presses, to produce manufacturing parts out of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and/or plastic.
- 3 years of proficiently operating manual lathe machines and understanding technical drawings
- Lathe Background is a plus
- Should be able to zero out machine and parts for operating
- Caliper/ Tape Measure reading is a must
- Experience with tool selection, machine setup, and monitoring machining processes
- Knowledge of different materials, cutting tools, and machining techniques
