Position Description
We are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing team! The candidate selected will perform primarily in field service of customer equipment, for Machine Ethics in Muskegon, Michigan and surrounding areas. The technician is also responsible for thorough reporting, and communications with customers and business operations personnel. Demonstrated expertise and experience, tenacity and motivation to accomplish the requirements of a growing company, with emphasis on stellar customer service are great skill traits we are looking for.
Preferred Abilities
· Understand and demonstrate the values, vision and mission of Machine Ethics
· Perform troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs
· Repair issues associated with hydraulics, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, PLC and CNC
· Use electrical prints specifically related to metal working machines
· Read or write control logic for new machine builds (Preferred)
· Accurately report details of job functions in a timely manner
· Can work with 3 phase power. Can hook up machines, tap transformers, Run conduit and wire.
· Troubleshoot contactors, prox switches, relays, etc.
Merge Skills
· Comprehend electrical, hydraulic and other prints with attention to detail
· Experience with a variety of CNC machine controls
· Ability to read and interpret Ladder Logic
· Communicate effectively with team members, management and customers
· Leadership and supervision experience helpful
Qualifications
· 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, machine rebuild, repair and/or engineering is a big plus
· Ability to demonstrate required skills with hands-on evaluation during interview process
