Job Summary
Implements, maintains, and troubleshoots moderately complex electrical controls systems software and hardware relevant to equipment used for the processing of implantable medical devices. Works with limited supervision and supports Software/Controls Engineers in more complex projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Independently performs installation, configuration, and maintenance of standard control systems
- Conducts moderately complex programming tasks following established guidelines
- Troubleshoots and resolves common to moderately complex control system issues
- Assist engineers in designing and implementing control system components
- Modifies existing control system configurations to meet specific requirements
- Conducts comprehensive testing and validation of control systems
- Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation
- Trains and mentors junior technicians in basic procedures and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with engineers on system improvements and optimization
- Participates in cross-functional team projects under engineer guidance
- Associate's degree in electronics, automation, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial controls or automation
- Demonstrated proficiency with PLC programming, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Experience with at least one major PLC platform (e.g., OMRON, AB, Beckhoff)
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Experience with quality control procedures in a regulated environment
