Job Summary:
We are hiring a Deburr Technician with a strong aptitude for working in high precision manufacturing. We are one of the largest machine and fabrication companies in the Pacific Northwest and you will be well positioned to advance your career in this field.
Responsibilities:
- Use various hand tools and pneumatic grinders to remove burrs and excess metal from machined parts.
- Hand form part geometry according to drawings, sketches, or instructions.
- Hand tap threaded holes in accordance with specifications.
- The loading and unloading of materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- The polishing or lapping of machined parts is to be performed as necessary. Hand blend machined parts as necessary.
- Ensure that parts are handled and moved and packaged with the appropriate care required for space-based products.
- Ensure work area is clean and free of hazards such as dust, oil, and general debris.
- Work with fellow employees and Engineers as required to meet product requirements.
- Temporary assignment to various facilities may be required as needed to support operations.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with AGMA standards and ISO policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
Qualifications / Skills:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
- Must have knowledge of fundamental mathematics.
- Must have the ability to understand drawing requirements and applied tolerances.
- Must have a working knowledge of measurement tools including but not limited to: calipers, radius gages, angle gages, surface gages, etc.
- Must demonstrate extreme accuracy and control when performing advanced deburr operations.
- Must display a very high level of attention to detail on complex parts.
- Must have general knowledge of coatings and plating and how to avoid damaging them.
- Must understand proper masking techniques as required.
