Responsibilities of the Real Estate Paralegal:
- Draft and prepare contracts, leases, deeds, mortgages, and closing documents for real estate transactions.
- Assist in preparing purchase agreements, title documents, and closing statements.
- Conduct thorough investigations, compiling details on property history, zoning regulations, and environmental factors.
- File and maintain legal documents, ensuring adherence to record-keeping requirements and updating case files/databases.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and substantive assistance to attorneys on real estate matters.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the firm as the Office Manager.
Requirements of the Real Estate Paralegal:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in real estate law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
