Mack Industries is looking for an experienced welder who can primarily set up, fabricate, and repair metal components, and forms used in the fabrication of precast concrete structures, often working within a production facility, utilizing welding techniques to fabricate and repair concrete precast forms , or assemble metal fixtures required for the concrete forms, all while adhering to detailed blueprints and safety regulations. This is a dayshift position.
Essential Functions
- Welding operations : Perform various welding techniques to join metal components like rebar cages, precast concrete forms and repairing of concrete precast forms.
- Reading blueprints : Accurately interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure proper placement and fabricating of precast concrete forms.
- Material preparation : Cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal pieces to prepare them for welding.
- Assembly and fabrication : Aligning and welding metal components to create complete reinforcement cages or structural connections for precast concrete parts.
- Safety compliance : Following all safety procedures related to welding equipment, working in a production environment, and handling heavy materials.
- Mechanical aptitude : Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring devices.
- Physical strength : Capability to lift and maneuver heavy metal components.
- Attention to detail : High level of precision needed to ensure accurate welding and component placement.
