Job Summary
Mackenthun's Cashiers perform cash handling and customer service duties to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process customer orders at the check-out accurately and efficiently.
- Accept payments and provide correct change as needed.
- Offer assistance, answer customer questions, and ensure purchases are promptly and properly bagged.
- Assist with/conduct selling events.
- Cross-train in the Service Center as needed.
Other Duties
- Keep the cash drawer balanced and organized.
- Assist with stocking products, facing shelves, general store maintenance, and cleaning.
- Perform other duties as requested.

- Minimize company losses due to poor customer service, inaccurate order processing, and improper product handling.
- Prioritize and efficiently perform duties; be accurate, honest, and dependable.
- Safeguard company property, resources, and image in all duties performed.
Physical Demands
Regularly stand/walk/see/hear for extended periods. Frequently bend at the waist, reach with hands and arms, crouch, climb stairs, use fingers, and sort. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Must define colors, read at close and distant ranges, and perform repetitive activities.
Training
Receive training on cash register operation, cashiering functions, duties, food safety, personal safety, and harassment prevention. Learn proper product stock and rotation processes.
