Mackenzie Stuart are partnered with a growing Ag Biotech company who are searching for a General Manager for one of their business units.
Candidates must have exposure to plant genetics and should reside, or be willing to relocate to, commuting distance from Asheville.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of business unit, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and strategy.
- Oversee plant genetics research initiatives, driving innovation and development in potato varieties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and production to enhance product offerings.
- Develop and implement business strategies that promote growth and profitability.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain competitive advantage.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including academic institutions and industry partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Plant Genetics, Agriculture, or related field.
- Proven experience in plant genetics research, preferably in the agri-food sector.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.

Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
