Job Summary:
The Supervisor Maintenance plays a critical role in optimizing plant productivity by overseeing the repair, alteration, and preventative maintenance of the operation. This involves supervising mechanics to complete both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and develop department and individual work schedules.
- Ensure the safety, quality of work, and productivity of maintenance technicians through direct leadership and coordination with the production department.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Intermediate proficiency in root cause analysis to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, PLC programming, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as variable frequency drives and AC & DC drives.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment, machine design, bearings, and lubrication.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, and sketches.
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent required; College Degree or Trade Certification preferred.
- At least 5 years of skilled trade experience, including supervisory experience.
