Director of Human Resources

Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with the site General Manager to establish a short and long-term strategic roadmap to achieve the site's overall objectives related to employee engagement, development, safety, retention, and building business value.
- Oversee administration of human resources function within a 400-employee manufacturing facility including management of: recruiting, onboarding, employee development, pay administration, employee relations, and employee engagement.
- Ensure local compliance with federal, state, and local legislation (including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA)
- Member and advisor to the local leadership team on good employment practices.
- Ensure appropriate and timely communications to employees.
- Generate metrics to inform on business results and to justify proposals.
- Create or adjust strategies and tactics to overcome business challenges related to operations goals & objectives
- Drive Continuous Improvement in all people-related areas, including physical & emotional strategy as well as recognition & engagement.
- Lead and direct the work of HR team members
- Represent the facility in Corporate led HR meetings and discussions. Lead local implementation of company-wide initiatives
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 Years of experience in Human Resources; including some prior management experience
- Leading Human Resources strategy, planning, directing, and goal setting of a division.
- Experience leading and directing the work of other employees and personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary processes
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
