Design Engineer
Maclean Power Systems is seeking a talented electrical utility industry design engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for leading engineering functions, including planning engineering programs, reviewing design and method recommendations, purchasing equipment, and ensuring that engineering activities align with organization objectives.
This role is based in our facility located in Stockton, CA.
What You’ll Do
Serve as liaison between engineering and other functional areas about engineering systems.
Key administration of engineering systems; JDE (ERP System), SolidWorks PDM Vault, Drawing Configurator (Realtime design), and process sheet generation.
Interrupt certification of body standards to design products to adhere to standards.
Design and conduct internal and external validation testing for products designed.
Support cross-functional teams in alignment to achieving site and company objectives.
Implement effective engineering methods provide technical guidance and act as a resource for engineers.
Ensure components, materials, and tools are used to capacity.
Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
Adhere to 5S standards, (e.g., maintain cleanliness, work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned,
What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
Perform complex tasks typically following established processes.
Work directly with ERP Systems, including BOM creation and New part set-ups.
Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and at least 8 years of experience.
