Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health, and workplace safety.
- Conduct facility inspections and audits to identify potential environmental or safety hazards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials or bio-waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, analyze data, and implement preventative measures to reduce risk.
- Prepare and submit accident and incident reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and internal reporting.
- Promote and uphold 5S standards by ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training on EHS policies and best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in environmental health and safety or a related field.
- Ability to handle moderately complex issues and escalate more complex matters as needed.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or providing guidance to junior team members.
- OSHA certifications preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective problem-solving and incident management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
