Plastic Injection Molding Setup Technician 1st Shift
Job Summary
Performs work associated with both set-up and basic plastic processing functions.
Job Duties
Perform all required setup activities to ensure the molding process meets the requirements
Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment/tooling and perform adjustments
Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation when applicable
Clean and maintain hoppers, loaders, grinders and other secondary equipment
Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
Perform work under general supervision
Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
0 to 2 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment
Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
