Macmillan is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to sell all wholly-owned and distribution titles to independent bookstores throughout the US. Reporting to the Director of Field Sales, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, growing, and maintaining relationships in the assigned territory. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-organized, energetic, and results-driven professional. Our ideal candidate has a passion for books, some experience in the industry, and is excited to be part of a goal-oriented sales team at a Big 5 publisher.
What you'll do:
- Seasonal list preparation for sales calls and sales conference
- Sell-in to 175 accounts in a designated territory
- Manage all account coop, requests, and issues for assigned territory
- Provide requested feedback and territory analysis to sales management and publishers
- Strive to continually grow Macmillan’s presence and sales in the independent channel
What you'll do:
- Complete knowledge of the Microsoft Office & Google Suites of programs
- Excellent analytical, organizational, writing, and editing skills
- The ability to communicate courteously and professionally at all times
- A knowledge of and passion for the trade book industry
- Ability and willingness to travel to sales conference and/or regional shows as requested
Ideal Experience:
- 3 years of trade publishing or bookstore experience
This role will have an annual salary of $60,000-$65,000.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
