General Superintendent

Job Summary
We seek an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to oversee excavating projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Oversee budgeting processes, including tracking expenses and managing resources effectively.
• Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to plans.
• Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the construction process.

Skills

• Proven experience in supervising construction projects with a strong understanding of building processes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Strong project scheduling skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles related to construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts on-site.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

• excavating: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• OSHA 30 (Preferred)
