Overview
Eagle Metalcraft in East Syracuse is seeking to hire a CNC Machinist to join their team!
The set-up, operation and maintenance of various production equipment and processes related to our ongoing CNC machining business. Equipment and processes include Matsuura (3-Axis) vertical and horizontal machining centers, Haas Mills, Bridgeport milling machines, precision saws and lathes. Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills or similar experiences would be considered for training.
Responsibilities
- Utilize effective and safe problem-solving skills to produce accurate CNC machined parts to exact drawing specifications and tolerances.
- The position requires reading and understanding both written and verbal instructions along with the ability to read and understand blue prints as required.
- Program CNC machines and operate assigned equipment and processes to produce parts on schedule while maintaining quality and accuracy to customer specifications.
- The use of precision measuring tools and equipment such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges and height gauges.
- The candidate will work with other production employees and take on various tasks as required.
- The candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager.

- Ability to apply basic math skills to measure and calculate various drawing dimensions.
- Ability to move and lift, up to 50 pounds.
- Physically able to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude or similar experience is a plus.
