PDK Development Engineer
JobDescription
MACOM isseeking a PDK Development Engineer to join the Technology Development team in Durham, NC or Lowell, MA. Theengineer would be part of MACOM's RF Device Modeling / PDK team, and will beresponsible for the development, generation, delivery, and support of PDKs usedby internal designers as well as external Foundry Service customers. Theengineer will work with other modeling engineers, RF MMIC designers, theproduct development team, and external customers to ensure successfulimplementation of the PDK and nonlinear model with their designs.
Key dutiesand responsibilities for this role include :
- Develop and maintain process design kits for Cadence MWO to support discrete devices, packaged devices, and full MMIC processes, including implementation of linear components and MACOM's proprietary nonlinear HEMT models
- Work closely with design, layout, and process engineers to understand and incorporate process and technology requirements into the models and PDKs.
- Develop, qualify, and support physical verification decks for DRC / LVS to support design tape out.
- Develop, qualify and support EM and thermal setups within the PDK
- Provide application support for PDK usage to internal and external customers
- Create and maintain documentation to support PDK usage and requirements, including updates to foundry manuals and user guides, as well as general applications support for the PDK and device models.

Familiarity with other CAD tools such as AutoCAD, DW2000, Allegro, Virtuoso
Familiarity with RF design methods and compound semiconductor behavior.
