Process EngineeringIntern
Role Overview :
As a member of the EngineeringTeam, the Process Engineering Intern will work alongside experienced engineersproviding mentoring, guidance, and introductions to colleagues.
This Internship with MACOMwill help the Intern to gain valuable work experience in a key discipline,build professional relationships, and take ownership of a business-criticalproject.
During the 12 weeks eachIntern will :
Begiven an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals
Gainhands on experience
Receiveexcellent training and ongoing supervision
Beinvited to attend an intern webinar series
Attendnetworking / social events
Attendand present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls
Receiveformal, written feedback
Requirements :
Currently enrolled in aBachelor's or Master's degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering,Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Prerequisite Skills andExperience :
Base knowledgeof mechanical and / or chemical engineering, best with experience in a semiconductorbackend (assembly) environment (physics, chemistry, general engineering,thermodynamics, material science). Good data analysis and DoE capabilities, precise documentation abilities,innovative, independent thinking and problem-solving skills will get you theinternship.
Additional DesirableSkills :
- Experience in a Semiconductor Backendoperation (Die Attach, Wire Bonding, SMT Assembly).
- JMPor similar software to provide statistical data analysis for data baseddecision making. DoE (Design of Experiment)-understanding on how tosetup and execute.
- Understandingof failure Analysis methods like DSC, TGA, EDX (handling these or similartypes of equipment is a plus).
- 3Dprinting and modeling capabilities are great to have (machining capabilities).
- Goodskills of visualization and creating documentation of your work andexperiments. Accurate description and documentation of your data and DoEs iskey for finding good solutions based on physical models and theoreticalpossible dependencies.
- Equipmenthandling of Datacon EVO220 (or any other backend assembly equipment) is a plus.
